The five requirements of life

fsdfs

Water, food, oxygen, heat, and pressure are important nonliving things of an ecosystem.

The five requirements of life are - water, food, oxygen, heat, and pressure.

Water, food, oxygen, heat, and pressure are important nonliving things of an ecosystem. It play an important part in the lives of all organisms and sustain human life. Human body consists of organs and organ systems. These body systems all function to maintain the cells in body.

  • Water - helps in metabolic processes, medium for metabolic reactions, transport substances, and regulate body temperature
  • Food -provides organisms with necessary nutrients. Nutrients supply energy and raw material for building new living matter.
  • Oxygen - one-fifth of air - used to release energy from nutrients.
  • Heat - form of energy - partly controls rate of metabolic reactions. maintenance of body temperature at 98.6 º F/37 º C
  • Pressure - application of force on an object - atmospheric pressure – important for breathing - hydrostatic pressure – keeps blood flowing.

These elements help in life processes and metabolic reactions work to maintain homeostasis. to protect our body and maintain optimal health
